  • Comment on the posts on past and present day musicians of your international friends; check your international partners’ names on the blog (peer commenting)–> find the posts and “leave a comment”
  • Choose one of the following topics and start planning your new and actually the last written post on this blog of ours
    1. MUSIC AND MOVIES
      • Find a compelling scene from a movie on YouTube and analyse it. Post the scene you have chosen on the blog (choose the right category!) and write your analysis beneath it (15o words). Who is behind this movie/music (state the facts very briefly).  What is this scene about? How is music used in this scene? What kind of feelings and emotions should the audience experience when listening to the music and watching the scene? Does the artist’s intended meaning meet your interpretation/expectations? Why/why not? What is the meaning of music in the world of cinema to you?
    2. POEMS IN MUSIC
      • Find a song that contains some verse and lyrics that excite you. Post the song and the lyrics you’ll analyse on our blog (choose the right category). Write about 150 words analyzing the song and finding links between the music genre and the lyrics themselves. Why has the musician chosen to use poetry/poetic devices in his lyrics? What kind of effects does poetry have on the reader/listener? (Is poetry used in music similar or different to poetry in literature? Why/how?) What kind of feelings and emotions should these lyrics arouse in the audience (the intended effect)? What kind of feelings do they evoke in you? Why? Why is poetry (or poetic devices) often used in music? What are the desired effects?
  •   This part is not limited to Finnish music/Finland but it is  ought to be a part “without frontiers” 😉
